Zakir Hasanov participated in the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers

Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, who is on a working visit to Russia, on April 2 participated in the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries, held in Moscow.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the Ministry of Defense provided this information.

First, the CIS defense ministers, accompanied by an honor guard and a military orchestra, laid wreaths and flowers at the Victory Monument in Moscow. A commemorative photograph of the delegation heads was also taken.

During the meeting in a restricted format, various aspects of regional security and military cooperation between the commonwealth countries were discussed, as well as other issues.

As part of the visit, Zakir Hasanov also held a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart Andrei Belousov. At the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in the military and military-technical spheres were discussed.
