Truck traffic has begun crossing at the Azerbaijani-Iranian border
Border checkpoints have begun allowing the passage of cargo vehicles returning from Iran and heading back to that country.
This was reported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.
The government recalled that earlier, pursuant to Resolution No. 66 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan dated March 5, 2026, the entry and exit (including transit) of all types of vehicles through the state border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran for the purpose of cargo transportation had been suspended.
It is noted that currently, the "Astara," "Bilasuvar," and "Julfa" border crossing points along the state border have begun allowing the passage of cargo vehicles belonging to the Republic of Azerbaijan and returning from Iran to Azerbaijan, as well as trucks belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran and returning from Azerbaijan to Iran.
