A square in the center of Baku has been named after Ukrainian poet and writer Taras Shevchenko.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, it is located in the Nasimi district of the capital - at the intersection of Azadlig Avenue and Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov Street.

It is precisely in this area that the monument to Taras Shevchenko is located.
