The Russian Chargé d'Affaires has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry

On June 28, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Petr Volokovykh, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan in connection with attacks on Azerbaijanis in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of Azerbaijan's foreign ministry, a strong protest was expressed to the Russian side regarding raids conducted on June 27, 2025 by Russian security forces in apartments where our compatriots reside, as a result of which two Azerbaijanis were brutally killed, several people received serious injuries, and nine more were arrested.

The opposing side was informed that Azerbaijan expects an investigation of the incident and the prompt criminal prosecution of all persons who committed violence.
