The Milli Majlis sent congratulations to the President and First Vice-President on the occasion of National Salvation Day

The Milli Majlis sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva on the occasion of June 15 - National Salvation Day.

The corresponding proposal was voiced by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova at an extraordinary session of the parliament.

"When our state faced the threat of destruction and disintegration, the national leader saved Azerbaijan. The return of Heydar Aliyev to the leadership of the state was the call of the people. Thus, Azerbaijan embarked on the path of sustainable development, and our country became an international center," the speaker said.

Gafarova noted that Heydar Aliyev's state policy is being worthily continued by President Ilham Aliyev:

"The end of the 30-year occupation of our territories, the restoration of our sovereignty, and the annually growing political authority are a vivid testament to this."
