The memory of the sons and daughters of Azerbaijan who perished in the fight for Victory over fascism was honored

May 9 marks the 81st anniversary of the historic Victory over fascism.

As reported by AZERTAC, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited on this occasion the grave of twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General of Tank Forces Azi Aslanov.

The head of state and the First Lady laid flowers at the monument to Azi Aslanov and honored the memory of all sons and daughters of Azerbaijan who perished in the war.
