The bodies of two of our compatriots who perished in the Sea of Azov have been found
19 citizens of Azerbaijan who were on the ships attacked by drones on June 5 in the Sea of Azov have been sent home.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), their arrival is expected this afternoon.
It is noted that as a result of search and rescue operations, the bodies of two more deceased individuals have been found — Gismet Aliyev (born 1969) and Fuad Orujov (born 1981).
"After the completion of the relevant procedures, the bodies of the four deceased, as well as two citizens who remained in the city of Yeysk, are planned to be sent to Azerbaijan in the coming days," the statement said.
As a reminder, on the night of June 5, two cargo vessels — Natra and Zirkon — were attacked in the Sea of Azov. As a result, four citizens of Azerbaijan were killed, four people were injured, and one more person is listed as missing. The investigation continues.
