The 28th Annual Meeting of the BSTDB Board of Governors and Business Forum is being held in Baku
The 28th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) and a business forum are being held in Baku under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, the annual meeting will review the bank's performance results, approve financial reports for 2025, and discuss prospective areas of the bank's work and issues of its institutional development.
As part of the event, a business forum titled "Connecting Markets, Diversifying Economies: Azerbaijan as a Regional Hub" will be held, dedicated to Azerbaijan's economic development priorities, strengthening regional cooperation, BSTDB projects in the country, as well as current trends and challenges in development financing.
The forum will focus on issues of expanding regional connectivity, the role of diversified financing mechanisms in ensuring sustainable economic growth, as well as the significance of Azerbaijan as an important economic and transport hub between Europe and Asia.
The event program includes presentations, plenary sessions, business discussions, and bilateral (B2B) meetings of business and financial institution representatives.
It should be noted that the BSTDB is a multilateral international development finance institution established by 11 member states of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation — Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine. Its headquarters is located in the Greek city of Thessaloniki. The BSTDB promotes sustainable economic development and regional cooperation in its member countries, operating in the areas of financing public and private sector projects, providing loans and credit lines, making investments and providing guarantees, as well as trade financing.
