Syrian Minister: At the initial stage, Azerbaijan will supply about 4.3 million cubic meters of gas

Deliveries of Azerbaijani gas to Syria through Turkey have officially begun.

As Report informs, Syria's Energy Minister Mohammed al-Bashir announced the official start of Azerbaijani gas supplies to Syria through Turkey. The statement was made after a ceremony dedicated to the launch of gas transportation.

According to the minister, the existing infrastructure allows for the transportation of up to 6 million cubic meters of gas per year.

"At the initial stage, 4.3 million cubic meters of natural gas will be transported daily. I would like to express gratitude to our Azerbaijani brothers for this opportunity and support. This process became possible after our president's meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during his recent visit," he added.

Mohammed al-Bashir expressed confidence that this project will directly contribute to the welfare of the Syrian people and ensure stable energy supply in the country.
