President: We will turn Zangilan into one of the transport centers of the region

Zangilan is located on a transport corridor. We will turn Zangilan into one of the transport centers not only of Azerbaijan, but of the entire region.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev at a meeting with residents of the city of Zangilan.

Recalling the construction of the railway, the head of state noted: "In the near future – perhaps in a year or a year and a half – it will be possible to travel from Baku to Zangilan by rail, just as people travel today on the Aghdam railway. Next year, people will travel to Khankendi by rail. This railway will be extended, it will connect Nakhchivan with the Zangazur corridor."
