President of Latvia: Signing of the peace agreement will be a landmark event for the entire world

Mr. President, I congratulate You and the people of Azerbaijan on the already initialed peace agreement. We hope that it will be signed in the near future. This will be an important event not only for the security of the region, but also for the entire world.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, who is on an official visit to our country, in a press statement with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The President of Latvia also emphasized that regional processes were discussed in detail during today's meeting. "We would like to particularly emphasize the role of Azerbaijan in the Trans-Caspian transport and energy corridors. This is a strategically important issue for both Latvia and the European Union," noted the President of Latvia.
