US President Donald Trump truly deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in an interview with "Al-Arabiya".

The head of state reminded that together with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, he nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

"He truly deserves it. As I already said in my comments in Washington, in just a few months he performed a miracle in Africa, in Asia, in the South Caucasus. And this is in his character. This is his nature. He wants peace. He is a person who absolutely does not fit the traditional image of a Western leader. He is very friendly. Very generous. He was so generous that he gave away all his gifts, even more than planned. He is truly a person who really deserves great respect. This was my first meeting with him, but my attitude toward him as a politician has always been positive. Even during his first term," said Ilham Aliyev.

The President added that at that time he did not have the opportunity to meet with Donald Trump. "Especially when he was deprived of the opportunity for re-election as a result of election fraud by representatives of the 'deep state'. They stole his victory. And what Mr. Trump says about abolishing the practice of mail-in voting is absolutely correct. You know, American administrations always like to lecture the whole world on how to live, how to build democracy, how to conduct elections, etc. We all know this very well. But they themselves committed the largest election fraud against President Trump, depriving him of victory. And during that period when Mr. Trump was not president, he behaved very dignifiedly. He demonstrated great courage and dignity, returning to America, where all these 'toads in the swamp' like the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), 'Radio Liberty', fake news producers, including 'The Washington Post', 'The New York Times', 'The Wall Street Journal', 'Newsweek', were against him. All of them demonized him, just as they demonized, for example, me, maybe not at the same level, but in the same way - by spreading rumors," he said.
