President Ilham Aliyev met with the head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev

On May 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

As reported by Azertaj, expressing gratitude to Shavkat Mirziyoyev for participating in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, the head of our state noted that the presence of the President of Uzbekistan at this event is an indicator of the brotherly and friendly relations between the two states and peoples.

Recalling his meetings with Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President Ilham Aliyev said that the projects discussed during those meetings are being successfully implemented.

The head of our state also noted the construction of the "Uzbekistan" park in Baku.

Expressing satisfaction with his stay in friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the head of our state on hosting the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum in Baku, emphasized that this event creates an opportunity to discuss important global issues dedicated to the topic of urban development, and expressed gratitude for the invitation.

The head of our state expressed appreciation for the congratulations.

Noting that during each of his visits to our country he witnesses development, the President of Uzbekistan noted with satisfaction that Azerbaijan is building new cities and villages in Karabakh. He regarded this as achievements made under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that the achievements of our country under the leadership of the head of state, as well as the Victory won in the Patriotic War, are the result of the efforts of President Ilham Aliyev and his love for the Homeland and the people.

Thanking for the kind words, the head of our state noted the support of the President of Uzbekistan in the restoration of Karabakh. In this context, it was emphasized that the Mirza Ulughbek Full Secondary School No. 1 built by the Uzbek side in Fuzuli became the first gift in the process of Karabakh's restoration. President Ilham Aliyev regarded this as an embodiment of brotherhood, support, and solidarity.

During the conversation, the visits of the President of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, the visits of the President of Uzbekistan to our country, and the meetings that took place were noted with satisfaction.

The economic projects being implemented by the two countries in accordance with the instructions of the heads of state were once again reviewed, and satisfaction with their implementation was expressed. In this context, projects in the fields of energy, mining industry, agriculture, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and other areas were discussed.

It was emphasized that the relations between our countries are of a strategic alliance nature, and the successful development of cooperation in all areas was noted with satisfaction.
