President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the King of Saudi Arabia

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:

"Dear Brother,

I am pleased to cordially congratulate You on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, and through You, Your brotherly people on the occasion of the Founding Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to express my best wishes.

We are very pleased that the relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, based on brotherhood and serving as a good example of strong friendship, are expanding day by day and being filled with new content. The high-level political dialogue existing between us is accompanied by cooperation in economic, energy, humanitarian and other fields.

I would like to particularly note the fruitful joint activities of our countries in the spheres of renewable energy and investments. The construction and recent commissioning of the 240 MW "Khizi-Absheron" wind power plant by ACWA Power of Your brotherly country is a vivid example of our close partnership.

I am confident that we will continue to make joint efforts to strengthen Azerbaijani-Saudi interstate relations and fully utilize the potential of our mutually beneficial cooperation, both on bilateral and multilateral levels.
