President Ilham Aliyev congratulated his Bangladeshi counterpart
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Mohammed Shahabuddin.
As reported by AZERTAJ, the message states:
"Dear Mr. President,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend to you and your entire people my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday of the People's Republic of Bangladesh - Independence Day.
The friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh have good traditions. I believe that we will continue to make joint efforts aimed at developing bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in the interests of our peoples.
On this joyful day, I wish you good health, happiness, and success in your endeavors, and to the friendly people of Bangladesh - peace, tranquility, and prosperity."
