Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed condolences to Switzerland
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed condolences to Switzerland in connection with the explosion at the Crans-Montana ski resort.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in a publication on the foreign ministry's page on the social network X.
"We are deeply saddened by the news of the tragic fire in Crans-Montana, which claimed many lives and caused injuries. We express our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and the people of Switzerland. Our thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones, and we wish a speedy recovery to the wounded," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
Note that the explosion occurred on the night of January 1, 2026, in the two-story Le Constellation bar at the Crans-Montana ski resort located in the Alps. According to preliminary data, about 40 people died as a result of the incident, and about 100 people were injured.
