Madat Babayan admitted that he participated in the Khojaly genocide
Armenian citizen Madat Babayan admitted on the defendant's bench his participation in the Khojaly genocide as part of Armenian armed formations.
As Report informs, at today's court hearing on the case of representatives of the former separatist regime, Babayan confirmed that he was in Khojaly on February 25 and 26, 1992.
"We were led there by the group commander Henrik Tamrazyan. The goal was to expel Azerbaijanis from Khojaly," he stated.
According to him, the actions in Khojaly were mainly directed by Arkady Shirinyan, known by the nickname "Bachelor." "We received orders from Vanik Petrosyan. It was he who ordered to shoot at unarmed people. Vanik and Arkady cut off fingers from the living and ears from the dead," said Madat Babayan.
