Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva visited a general education boarding school and a STEAM center in the city of Guba

On February 24, Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva visited the Guba district.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the trip Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva visited a general-type boarding school and a STEAM center in the city of Guba.

First, they visited the general-purpose boarding school in the city of Guba. It was reported that 114 students study here — 79 boys and 35 girls. Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the boarding school, warmly interacted with the children, observed the educational process, took photographs, and presented school supplies to the students. A cultural program prepared by the students was also presented at the school: poems were recited and songs were performed.

Then Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva visited the Guba STEAM center. During the tour of the center, it was mentioned that on the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, since 2019, the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) project has been widely implemented in schools across Azerbaijan. It was noted that the STEAM center in Guba has been operating since 2021 and is designed for all age groups. Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva thoroughly familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the center, warmly interacted with the students, and inquired about the practical application of the knowledge and skills they had acquired.

In conclusion, commemorative photographs were taken with the children and the school staff.
