Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: I thank Ilham Aliyev for the initiative of holding the Turkic World Week

The ideas put forward at the First Turkological Congress have not lost their relevance today.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this is stated in the address of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the participants of the Turkic World Week in Baku, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

He noted that in the conditions of complex and changing times, the preservation and comprehensive study of the common spiritual heritage acquires special significance.

"Therefore, it is important to strengthen cooperation between scholars and our cultural-humanitarian partnership. This forum has been organized precisely with this purpose," the address states.

Tokayev emphasized the special place of Azerbaijan in the Turkic world and thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the initiative of holding the forum.

"Today, Azerbaijan worthily continues this honorable mission, actively promoting the development of cooperation between fraternal countries. In this regard, I express my sincere gratitude to President Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people for the initiative of holding this prestigious event," the address states.
