Head of the European Commission congratulated the President of Azerbaijan on the initialing of a peace agreement

First, let me touch upon the most important event in this region in recent decades, namely peace. I want to congratulate you on the conclusion of the historic peace agreement with Armenia.

As reported by AZERTAC, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said this in a joint press statement with President Ilham Aliyev.

"You have demonstrated leadership in promoting peace and cooperation throughout the region, and this creates new opportunities for stability, trust, and shared prosperity," she noted.
