We are determined to deepen cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan in the areas of trade, energy, and the defense industry, and to elevate our relations to a higher level.

As reported by the Haber Global TV channel, this was stated by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Antalya.

The Turkish leader expressed confidence that this goal will be achieved thanks to new steps that the parties intend to take.

Touching upon the situation surrounding the war in Iran during the meeting, Erdogan noted that Turkey and Azerbaijan are feeling its negative consequences.

He also emphasized that Turkey welcomes with satisfaction the steps being taken on the path to achieving a lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and will continue to support this process.
