Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army met with Qatar's military leadership

First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel-General Kerim Veliyev, during his visit to Qatar, held meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Qatar and State Minister for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, as well as with the Chief of the General Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant General Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai.

During the meetings, which were also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar Adysh Mammadov, it was emphasized that the DIMDEX 2026 exhibition is of significant importance in terms of expanding the defensive capabilities of countries from the sea.

The parties expressed confidence in the further development of military ties and discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar in military and military-technical fields, noting the importance of conducting joint military exercises, and also held a broad exchange of views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
