Bayramov and Fidan discussed the historical outcomes of the meeting in Washington

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation.

The Turkish Foreign Minister congratulated Azerbaijan on the historical achievements made during the meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington.

The interlocutors emphasized that the agreements reached, as well as the Joint Declaration signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia with the participation of the US President, are important for ensuring peace and stability in the region. It was noted that the initialing of the peace treaty and the joint call for the elimination of the OSCE Minsk process and relevant structures are a significant contribution to peace. The ministers expressed their expectation that the OSCE decision to dissolve these structures would be made in the near future.

During the conversation, issues arising from the allied relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as cooperation within regional and international organizations, were also discussed.
