Armenia's Foreign Minister called his Azerbaijani counterpart: the situation in the region was discussed
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan.
BAKU.WS reports this with reference to the press service of Azerbaijan's foreign policy department.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on recent developments in the region. The ministers, expressing concern, emphasized the importance of refraining from steps that could lead to further escalation of tensions, and also pointed to the need to ensure stability and security.
Jeyhun Bayramov informed his Armenian counterpart about the drone attacks carried out on March 5 on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, which caused damage to civilian infrastructure and injured civilians.
The foreign ministers noted the importance of ensuring sustainable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
