About 6,000 former internally displaced persons will return to Agderi and Khojaly districts in 2025

Construction and restoration work is currently underway in 16 settlements of the Agderin and Khojaly regions.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was announced by the deputy special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Agderin and Khojaly regions, Sabukhi Gahramanov, at the IX meeting of the heads of diplomatic services in Khankendi.
According to him, according to the resettlement plan for 2025, after the completion of repair and restoration work, the process of resettlement of former internally displaced persons will be carried out in stages in 8 villages of the Khojaly region (Ballyjja, Khanyurdu, Tazyabinya, Dashbulag, Badara, Seyidbayli, Khanabad and Shushakend) and 8 villages of the Agderin region (Hasanriz, Vangli, Kolatag, Chyldyran, Kheyvaly, Damirli, Chapar and Ashagy Oratag):
"Approximately 6 thousand internally displaced persons will be resettled to their native land. Currently, a resettlement plan for subsequent years is being drawn up for these and other settlements, and other work is also being carried out."
S.Gahramanov also recalled that the return of some former internally displaced persons to the city of Khojaly and the village of Ballyjja, as well as to the villages of Sugovushan, Hasanriz and Talysh of the Agderin region, has already been ensured.
