Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan visited the restored house-museum of Bülbül
On June 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Bülbül House-Museum in Shusha.
As reported by BAKU.WS, Member of the Milli Majlis Polad Bülbüloghlu informed the distinguished guest about the Bülbül House-Museum. He stated that this house, where his father was born and spent his childhood years, was turned into a house-museum by the decision of the Executive Committee of the Shusha City Council of People's Deputies in 1982, on the instructions of the great leader. In 1982-1983, the building was renovated, a museum exhibition was created inside it, and an administrative building was constructed in front of it. The restoration of the house-museum, which was subjected to Armenian vandalism during the occupation and ceased its activities, like other historical and cultural monuments, began after the liberation of the city of Shusha from the invaders. A new bust of Bülbül was installed in the courtyard. The bust that was vandalized during the occupation of the city of Shusha is also kept here as a vivid evidence of the crimes committed by the Armenian occupiers against our cultural heritage.
